Boat excursion in the omani peninsula of Mussandam Khasab
Mussandam Peninsula is an Omani territory lying on the Detroit of Hormuz. The mountainous geography of the region and its associated marine fjords make the area particularly beautiful due to its extraordinary natural landscape.
Your driver will pick you up at the specified meeting point (the exact time will be confirmed by email or phone) to drive you to the point where your boat, a dhow (traditional wooden boat), will be anchored. Allow about 3 hours drive from Dubai to reach Khassab.
You will then embark on a cruise on the waters of the Gulf of Oman. Relax on the lower deck or climb up to the upper floor to enjoy a better view. You will be able to see during the day local fishermen villages, swim and explore the aquatic fauna of the seabed of Mussandam or learn the ancient techniques of fishing with handmade fisging lines. You may also be lucky enough to spot dolphins, often seen swimming along the boats in this region.
Your trip will also stop by Telegraph Island, an old island where stood before a British telegraph relay point. You will be able to admire its seabed with colorful coral and fish. Snorkeling equipment will be provided by the team onboard.
Cold drinks and lunch will be served on board the boat. Tea, coffee and fruits are also served on board for the duration of the tour.
Your will return back in Dubai in the evening.
Safety: Safety on board is assured by the captain and his crew, experienced and trained for this type of excursions. The boats are equipped with navigational tools, fire extinguishers, survival kit and life jackets.
In order to travel to Mussandam Khasab, you must be in possession of your original passport which will be presented at the customs post at the border. Customs formalities will be facilitated locally by your driver. The rate includes visa fees. For residents in the UAE, a copy of the residence visa must be sent to us min. 48 hours before the tour date. Dubai Destination can not be held respnoslble if participants could not pass the border in reasons of visa / passport related problems.

In case of exceptional decision taken by local authorities to prevent the boats from sailing, due to weather conditions in the region or force majeure case, Destination Dubai and its local partners may have to cancel the tour. It will then be proposed to the client to reschedule the trip for another date or receive a full refund of the amount paid if the client is not available.
Cancellation terms: this activity can be cancelled up to 72hours prior do the booking date. Cancellation fee equivalent to 20% of the amount paid will be deducted while processing refund. Activities under promotion are not refundable.
